October Message from the Head of School
Dear Students and parents, The first month of the school year is behind us and I think we all have found some kind of daily routines for online studies and working. The start has not been without problems, but the staff of VFIS has done its best to solve the unexpected issues caused by the Covid-19 situation. Unfortunately we can not expect life to be less complicated in the near future, but at least we attempt to be a bit more prepared.
Studying online is demanding and it is inevitable that many students will face difficulties at some point. You may find it tiring to study alone, you may find some subject difficult, you may miss your friends or you struggle to sit in front of the screen for several hours a day. Please, remember, that you don’t have to solve everything by yourself. There are teachers and teacher assistants to listen to you and to help you. Just let them know!
I would like to thank the parents for their active and constructive feedback. It is important to us to hear how the students are doing, what makes it easier for them to learn and concentrate in studies under these circumstances. The teachers have told me how tirelessly the parents support and encourage the students. This kind of commitment is priceless!
It is important that we all remember to take good care of ourselves and our loved ones. Make sure that you have time to rest and to relax. Do things that make you happy, then it is easier to also work hard.
I wish you all the best!
Sincerely yours,
Sanna Manner
