The school offers two programmes of study: International and Bilingual  from Primary school, Lower Secondary School to Upper Secondary School.

In Finland, the National  Core  Curriculum  provides  a  framework  around  which  local  curricula  are designed. The VFIS Curriculum mirrors the general objectives and core contents of the Finnish National Core Curriculum with unique local adaptations for teaching of all school subjects and the structure of education. The curriculum also describes the conception of learning and goals for developing the learning environment, school culture and working methods.

The VFIS curriculum is based on the latest update of the Finnish National Core Curriculum framework launched in 2017. One major feature is the inclusion of cross-curricular themes by which to enhance the development of 21st century life competences through individualised pedagogy.

game bai đổi thưởng became an IB World School in 2021, authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to offer the IB Diploma Programme. We are excited to be the first Finnish IB school in Asia. IB World Schools share a common philosophy a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education-that we believe will encourage our students to lead rewarding personal and professional lives.

International programme

The International programme offers a curriculum which is based on the Finnish National Core Curriculum from Grade 1-9, with additional compulsory subjects including Vietnamese language and social studies (integrating History, Geography, and Ethics) in Vietnamese from the Vietnamese National Curriculum required for Vietnamese citizens. Upper secondary students will pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum in Grades 11 and 12 with an IB preparatory year in Grade 10. The programme will be taught in English by Finnish and international teachers.

Bilingual Programme

The Bilingual programme offers an integrated Finnish and Vietnamese curriculum with additional subjects and content required by the Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training. The ongoing reform of Vietnamese basic education has restructured knowledge-based learning to competence-based learning, and this will significantly narrow the gap between the Vietnamese and Finnish curricula. At the end of Grade 12, students are entitled to take the National High School Graduation Examination. Vietnamese is the main language of instruction in the bilingual programme, with selected subjects delivered in English language.
